About Us

Hi, I’m Lyndsay. I graduated in 2022 with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University and work in the schools.
With summers off, I wanted a way to stay connected with people while doing something I love—coffee.

In 2022, I began converting an enclosed trailer with the help of friends and family, and by 2023, I started serving coffee to my community alongside my mom, making it even more special.

I’ve always loved being in the water, and growing up around Michigan’s lakes has shaped who I am. That connection to water is a big part of what inspired Buoy’s Coffee and the feeling behind it. The name “Buoy” reflects something steady and welcoming—always present in the moments people share.
